Innsbrook Resort has a rich history that started in 1971. Ed Boyce, Innsbrook’s founder and Chairman, first came up with the idea when he came across A-frame chalets in Aspen. His purpose was to bring nature, recreation and serenity together. He certainly succeeded in that! Boyce teamed together with Warren Wobbe Sr. and Les Buechele and they began their journey of buying up property in what is now Innsbrook Missouri. They started purchasing land along Highway F and chose Aspen Lake as their focal point for the resort.

The beautiful 137-acre lake is one of the larger lakes in the area, with many smaller lakes in the surrounding area. In fact there are over 100 lakes in Innsbrook MO. That makes it 5 times larger than Forest Park in St Louis Missouri. It wasn’t until 1998 that Innsbrook was approved as an official village. In 2000, they began construction on Alpine Lake, the largest of Innsbrook’s lakes.

Fast forward many years later, and Innsbrook, Missouri now boasts 7,500 acres and over 100 lakes. Innsbrook Resort has become a wonderful recreational community for all to enjoy, whether you’ve come to stay or are just visiting! As the heart of Innsbrook, a lot of care is taken to ensure the conservation and enhance the natural beauty of the area.
